Umay Protocol was founded by three partners, including two software engineers and one lawyer, and today operates with a team of eight. This diverse and experienced team has come together to drive innovation in the crypto space.

One of the founders, Özgür Işıl, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in software development and finance. Holding a background in Software Engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in finance, Işıl has previously served as an IT and finance professor. For more than a decade, he has successfully managed his own software company, catering primarily to clients within Turkey's top 100 companies.

Olcay Şahin brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience to Umay Protocol, with deep expertise in software development. He has led several large-scale software projects and effectively managed diverse teams, contributing to building one of Turkey's largest insurance software solutions. With extensive knowledge in the banking and insurance sectors, Şahin has been actively involved in the crypto space since 2019.

Noyan Göksu is a commercial lawyer with international experience, having worked with law firms in the US and UK. He has spent many years advising engineering firms and tech startups, and since 2013, he has been a founding partner of one of Turkey's leading boutique law firms. Highly regarded for his work in dispute resolution and regulatory matters, Göksu has been involved in the crypto space since 2017.
